BLUE WHALE LEARNING’S MULTI FACETED ENRICHMENT CORES consist of curated and cross-referenced content Mods. Each self-contained module includes Lessons with subtopics, self-guided optional quizzes, games and additional resources for further exploration. New Mods are added continuously all year, and accessible to each student.
Our programming is centered around Cores that feature not only science and tech, but also, exploration, archeology, geology, ancient civilizations, culture and more. Each core is curated to coordinate with at least one other core, and content is created and focused through the lens of mankind’s interaction with, effect on, or consequential evolution from, the central idea in each module.
All Mods are cross-coordinated within their own Core as well as others, and to make the experience even more engaging, we’ve added Badges and gamification to the mix to let students earn recognition when they’ve completed Mods.
Have a browse through the Cores below, and then pop over to our Contact Page to let us know if you’re interested in making Blue Whale Learning a part of your class or school resources. We work exclusively with The DaVinci Foundation for Innovative Education to make the program available to students at no cost to them or their schools and would love to hear from you if your students or school are in need.
From the tallest peaks of the Himalayas to the depths of the Marianas Trench, our world has an amazing variety of ecosystems, and an immense set of external factors that effect change within them.
We’ll explore coral reefs, volcanoes, caves and rainforests, ice ages, heat waves, tsunamis and droughts, stunning canyons, ancient rivers, vast savannahs, evolving islands and more. Join us as we learn about this dynamic, ever-changing, unique in the universe globe we call home.
The number of companies actively involved in developing interplanetary travel and exploration today has exploded, and we as a species are preparing to jump from this, our home planet, to colonies on the Moon, Mars, and possibly even the moons of Jupiter or Saturn.
Come along as we explore not just our solar system, but also the stars, galaxies, black holes, quasars, dark matter, gravitational waves and even quantum connectivity throughout our universe.
Living creatures within the endless variety of earth’s ecological zones range from the commonplace, domesticated dogs, cats, cattle and fowl, to the bizarre, super small or massively huge, and even today we continue to discover multiple new species every year.
Join us as we investigate the strange and wonderful creatures that abound in our oceans, trek the great African plains in search of predators and climb the tallest mountains to hunt some of the most elusive and hardiest life on our planet, and be prepared to be amazed, delighted and fascinated at the wealth of life we are privileged to be part of.

Machu Picciu, Alexandria, Gobleki Tepi, Chichen Itza…all magical names that conjure up tales of a past steeped in culture, ritual, knowledge and myth, and we’re exploring these and more as we delve into the colorful and dramatic histories of humanity.
Studying the past to help us shape the future gives us a broader, more well rounded perspective on ourselves as a species and on our effect on the planet and each other as we have molded our societies to fulfill our own needs and to advance our community goals.
For all of our common ancestry, DNA connectivity and shared characteristics, humans are nothing if not a wildly varied species with mind-boggling differences in beliefs, values and goals, even as we are incredibly alike in our love for our children, our need for connection and our struggles to understand our place in the universe.
Join us as we dive deep into the connections that bind and divide us, and explore the rich and varied cultures of Earth’s humans.
As we hurtle faster and further every day into a future that is shaped not just by our beliefs and values, but also by the technology that we are developing, it becomes more and ore challenging to keep the ‘big picture’ in sight.
Knowledge is power, and more knowledge is more power, but as a wise man once said (in more than one beloved movie) “With great power comes great responsibility”. Come take a look at where we are going and the tech that is taking us there, and see what you think about how we are approaching the future.
Have you ever picked up a rock in the middle of a forest or beach or desert, and turned it over to find the time-etched profile of an ancient creature that once lived in or on this earth of ours?
From trace fossils to zone fossils, chemicla fossils to DNA, amber encased insects to calcified and petrified plants, fossils are a vital portal to our understanding of the planet and its evolution, as well as being an exciting gateway to education.
