FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is included in Blue Whale Learning?

Blue Whale Learning consists of micro-courses, called Modules, each of which includes videos and text lessons.

Included within each Module are additional resources for further study, pre-built quizzes, vocabulary and review tests, optional extra credit assignments, interactive activities and games, and much more.

For teachers, we’ve added cross links to other modules and materials within Blue Whale Learning and optional quizzes on blog posts as well as extensive reporting and student oversight capabilities.

How many months are included in each plan?

Individual, School and Class subscriptions are based on a 12 month period and renew automatically each year.

As a school or class, you also have the right to assign seats to different students in different sessions, so you can use the materials for two or three different sets of students over the course of your annual subscription, depending on how many seats you purchase.

I would like to donate a plan to my child's school - is that possible?

Absolutely! The best way to donate a school subscription is to contact us via email so we can help set up exactly what you’d like to donate.

Does each student in a Family Plan get his or her own profile and work section?

Yes! We know that it’s important to be able to work at different paces, and to explore and dive deep into the subject materials that really spark an interest in each student, so every student gets a private profile area where they can upload homework, store cool articles, join groups and talk to other subscribers and take self tests and quizzes.

Our school has just over 100 students who we would like to have participate - what plan do we need?

We have special custom plans available for schools or classes that fall outside of the standard parameters of our packages, so if that’s the case with your school, class or organization, just complete the form on our custom plans page here and we’ll be in touch right away to talk to you about your needs.

Your Sponsorship Gives the World to Our Kids

By Sponsoring or Subscribing to Blue Whale Learning, you offer kids in middle and high schools the chance to see the world in new and positive ways.

Blue Whale programs engage students while sparking their curiosity and asking questions designed to help them look at the world, both past and present, in ways that make them really think about how they can impact the future.

While programs are available by subscription, we are proud to join  The Da Vinci Foundation for Innovative Education to make all of our programs available through scholarships and sponsorships for children and schools in need.

If you’d like to support our efforts to distribute all of our programs freely to students in need, please visit The DaVinci Foundation  to learn more about sponsoring, donating or volunteering.
